The Philippine Blog Awards 2011

The mere mention of my blog among the finalists for the Philippine Blog Awards - Best Travel Blog for Luzon is something that I can really be proud of. It's a milestone for my 1 year and 15 days old blog. yeeha!

Being one of the finalists (I never expected that my barangay-level blog would be shortlisted), PBA invited me to attend the awards night last Saturday night (December 3, 2011) at Carlos P Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza, Makati. It was my very first awards night, a dream come true (slash aim #59).

I was with the ever supportive Pinoy Travel Bloggers Bagets and we truly rocked the house during the awards night. When I heard my blog and saw it on the big screen, my heart pounded so fast, it was probably my proudest moment. However, I did not win the award, it was Christian of Lakad-Pilipinas.blogspot.com who bagged the Best Travel Blog Award for Luzon. Well, he deserves it actually, I myself is an avid fan of his blog. Woohoo, congrats Christian!

I am also glad that fellow PTB Chichi and Lois of Wearesolesisters.com brought home the Best Travel Blog - National Level. 

I like to express my gratitude to the people behind this award giving body for recognizing the effort, blood and sweat that bloggers are pouring into their blogs. I am inspired to write more and share my travel experiences to my readers out there. Mabuhay PBA and cheers to blogosphere.
