Ask me where my dream destination in the Philippines is and you'll find it in its extremes. To climb the highest, to dive the deepest, and to reach the farthest spots in the Philippines remain as my biggest dream explorations in the country.

Into the Highest
I was bitten by a mountaineering bug when I climbed my first mountain. In just three months, that first climb was followed by 12 more. They were right, hiking can be very addictive. And with this addiction, I felt that achieving one of my childhood dreams, which is to climb Mt. Apo's peak, is now almost at my reach.

Into the Deepest
As much as I want to climb the roof of the Philippines, I also want to go deep into its basement. The Philippine trench aka the Philippine deep is the deepest spot in the country and 3rd in the world. A year from now, I'm planning to get a masters degree in Marine Biology. And hopefully, once I graduated from it, I will be ready for deep-sea exploration.

Into the Farthest
The Farthest North... theYami Island of the Batanes Group of Islands is the northernmost land territory of the Philippines.
The Farthest south... the Sitangkai Island of the Sibutu-Sitangkai Group of Islands of the province of Tawi-Tawi is the southernmost island of the Philippines.
Reaching both the ends of the Philippine Islands is one biggest goals ever. I know that getting there is very challenging because its locations are the remotest but I am willing to face these challenges just to accomplish this big dream of mine.

Until now, all of these destinations remain as a dream. I haven't been to any of these places but hopefully someday, I will set foot on these spots and will proudly say that I Conquered Philippines' Extremes.

Nothing is impossible!!! Dare to achieve your dream. 5months ago, I didn't even thinks that my dream of reaching and setting foot at the Phillipines highest would be realized. Last August 24, 2012 it happens.
ReplyDelete5months ago, I had never set foot in any mountains. It just started within me as a desire, a dream, then suddenly the opportunity arrives by the chance of meeting a person who had climb mountains. Then boom!!! I am into mountaineering. Since then until now and still counting.
I now realized what Paulo Coelho says in his book "The Alchemists" that "When ones desire towards something is strong enough, All the world will conspire to help you achieve it."
additional thereafter: Kalayaan Group of Islands, Mt. Ragang, :)
