One Year And Still Counting

It's been a year now when I first met you. If I could remember it right, you where there sitting on the corner of a busy street in Lucban. Both of us were having a great time celebrating the Pahiyas Festival. I smiled at you, and you smiled back. Wow, you were shining above the rest. I approached you, and we clicked right away.

I did not foresee that it will be the start of a very good friendship. Since then, you joined me in many important events of my life - first climb, first plane ride, on my 20th birthday. You became my greatest travel buddy. I am so lucky that I met you....

Waaahh, enough with these sweet words. I am actually referring to my wide brim straw hat. Yes, it has been a year already when I bought it somewhere in the streets of Lucban. Since then, every single trip, every single climb, I always bring it with me. It has proved itself to be very useful in many ways, it gave me shade, it protects me from rain, it can act like a fan, it can even act like a basket if it is inverted. haha.
