Food Trip at Subic Bay

I think the calories we lost from the Treetop Adventure not just replenished but doubled. After dining at three different restaurants, and trying out their bests and sure hit meals, I can say that our Subic Bay weekend getaway was a total pig out experience! Thanks to Subic Homes and partners, me and my friends never starved at Subic Bay.

Aristocrat Restaurant

Upon our arrival at Subic Bay Freeport Zone, we headed straight to Aristocrat Restaurant to try out some of the finest Filipino dishes in town for lunch. Served on our table were Chicken Barbecue with Java Rice and special peanut sauce, Spicy Laing, Tokwa't Baboy, and Pancit Canton. Then for dessert, we tried their Leche Flan, Halo-halo, Sago't Gulaman, and Banana Split.

Their food, like all other Aristocrat Restaurants, is exemplary. No wonder they are hailed as one of the best restaurants specializing in Filipino Dishes (grabe naman kasi, Chicken Barbecue pa lang solb na solb na!). Their name might sound expensive, but it's not... their food are actually affordable (priced at 200-500 in big servings). not bad huh..

Sumo Sam

At the newly opened Harbor Point Ayala Mall at Subic Bay, we had a dose of some Japanese food for dinner. I'm not a big fan of Japanese cuisine, but our delectable experience with Sumo Sam was just too good, I now love Japanese food.

Sumo Sam treated us with 5 of their best dishes: Crunchy Squid Teriyaki, Dynamite Role, Pork Kimchi Bowl, Ebi Tempura, and my favorite of all, Bacon Asparagus.

Blackbeard's Seafood Island (highly recommended)

Also at the Harbor Point Mall, we tried Blackbeard's Seafood Island by Red Crab for lunch on our second day at Subic Bay. It was no ordinary seafood lunch, I must say, but an overwhelming feast (boodle style)! There were just 7 of us, but 3 sets of boodle feast (each one is good for 5-6 persons) were served on our table. There's also Seafood Kare-Kare (one of the best kare-kare I ever tasted) and Fried Hito.

Seafood Island made us experience an ultimate seafood feast, which I thought I would only experience when I am in the province. This resto is perfect for groups (barkadas and families), each boodle feast is quite pricey (less than 1,500 each), but since it's good for a group, you can always break the cost to everyone to make it affordable.
