ReplyDeletehello! 'just wanted to solicit an opinion, since you're a "lakwatsero" anyway.:) What place would you suggest if I want to have a sort of "weekend vacation" to be able to get away from stressful office work? A place which is refreshing and has nice views for sightseeing but is not too far from Quezon City (coz it's just gonna be just for two days anyway--a weekend--and must be back by Monday again for work).
ReplyDeleteplease send me an email. thanks.
ReplyDeleteKudos!

ReplyDeleteIvan,
ReplyDeleteI'm really impressed of your list as well as your travel journals. In 1999 I was with a group of Canadian-funded project collaborators in the ARMM region and we went to visit Turtle Islands (Tawi-tawi province) but we first went to Sandakan, Malaysia (off Borneo Island) which is only an hours speedboat ride compared to Tawi-tawi which takes us around at least 10 hours or so. I would suggest you include Turtle Islands (6 belongs to PHL and 3 to Malaysia). The only catch there is the security as there are lots of pirates and bandits. We coordinated with the local chief executive (mayor of Turtle Island).
